Ivy leaves, hand and machine embroidery on silk muslin, thread embroidery, ligatures on rope and metal rods.
Julie Percillier was inspired by the delicate way leaves decompose to form natural lace. The artist has accelerated this process to blend hand-embroidered leaves and flowers with these natural leaves whose ageing has been stopped. All the leaves are assembled on stems that have been wired and tied with thread. Plant embroidery creates a harmonious dialogue between textile art and nature, offering a refined and sustainable aesthetic.
