Silas Chermant and Aude Franjou at the Hôtel le Jardin de Verre by Locke
For Paris Design Week 2025, maison parisienne will present a unique two-part installation by designer Silas Chermant and textile artist Aude Franjou at the Hôtel le Jardin de Verre by Locke.
Through his collections of sleek lighting fixtures, Silas Chermant combines contemporary design and artisanal expertise to create unique pieces that celebrate the beauty and durability of this local material, while highlighting the landscapes and techniques of French slate quarries.
Installed in the hotel lobby, the “Brut” lighting series from the Labasso collection blends seamlessly into a decor already marked by contemporary design, subtly interacting with the architecture of the space, whose floor echoes the dark shades of slate.
For the Hôtel Le Jardin de Verre by Locke’s first participation in Paris Design Week, the exhibition of Silas Chermant‘s work reflects the Locke group’s desire to support young creators while actively participating in the cultural life of the city of Paris.
Aude Franjou, a textile sculptor, works with linen thread using the coating technique, carried out entirely by hand. This repetitive and masterful gesture creates a dense and sculptural material with organic shapes inspired by plants: roots, vines, corals.
Conceived as an organic work in harmony with the neoclassical architecture of the venue, the installation takes the form of a monumental intervention: the hand-woven linen vines, in shades of deep red, contrast with the greige of the cut stone and the metal ornaments of the balustrade on the main floor of the mansion, with which they intertwine. Through this gesture, the artist introduces a living material into a heritage space, weaving a sensitive link between heritage, architecture, and contemporary creation.
This installation echoes the exhibition Coraux de la Liberté, an installation by Aude Franjou that maison parisienne is presenting from September 3 to 13, 2025, during Paris Design Week 2025. For the first time in its history, the Colonne de Juillet on Place de la Bastille is being taken over by a contemporary installation.

Pierre Renart at Longchamp
For Paris Design Week 2025, Pierre Renart’s eight Ribbon leather chairs, designed in collaboration with Longchamp, will be on display at the Longchamp boutique on Rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s 2nd arrondissement.
First presented in May 2025 at Longchamp’s Milan flagship store during the world’s largest design event, these eight exceptional pieces, accompanied by the Wave leather bench, marked a turning point in Pierre Renart‘s career. This was the first time the designer had combined wood and leather—a combination he had long dreamed of exploring.
It was also the first time Longchamp had offered furniture for sale in one of its stores.
