maison parisienne actively works to promote its artists to French and international institutions. Thanks to this commitment, several of them have seen their works integrated into prestigious public collections.
In France
In 2012, the Musée Jean Lurçat et de la tapisserie contemporaine in Angers acquired a large sculpture by Simone Pheulpin.
In 2017, the gallery organizes a solo exhibition by Simone Pheulpin “Un monde de plis” at the Chapelle expiatoire in collaboration with the CMN and the Fondation Ateliers d’art de France.
In 2019, the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris will acquire works by Pierre Renart and Simone Pheulpin, in 2021 by Aurélie Mathigot and Julien Vermeulen, and in 2022 by Gérald Vatrin.
In 2020, two pieces by Pierre Renart and, in 2021, a sculpture by Hervé Wahlen join the collections of the Mobilier national, followed by works by four artists from maison parisienne during the “Les Aliénés” exhibitions (Simone Pheulpin, Julien Vermeulen, Aurélie Mathigot, Lilian Daubisse). In the same year, the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris devotes a monographic exhibition to Simone Pheulpin, entitled “Plieuse de temps”.
In 2022, the Mobilier national acquired Aurélie Mathigot’s Fin de Journée en Automne, which inspired a tapestry currently being made at the Gobelins, scheduled for 2025.
In 2023, nine glass sculptures by Gérald Vatrin enter the contemporary collections of the Musée des Beaux-Art de Nancy.
In 2024, maison parisienne occupies the Hall des Maréchaux for the “15 ans, 15 artistes, 15 oeuvres” exhibition, then the Hôtel de la Marine to present Escale by Pierre Renart at Paris Design Week. Also in 2024, the CNAP acquires Décade, a major work by Simone Pheulpin, and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs acquires a sculpture by Simone Pheulpin.
Internationally
In 2011 and 2012, the gallery collaborates with the Boghossian Foundation at the Villa Empain in Brussels for the exhibitions “Pudeur et Colère de Femmes” and “Un rêve d’éternité”.
Since 2018, the gallery’s influence has spread internationally : London’s Victoria and Albert Museum has included works by Simone Pheulpin and Gérald Vatrin in its contemporary collections. The Art Institute of Chicago acquired a mural by Simone Pheulpin.
In 2020, 2023 and 2025, maison parisienne will invest in the Hôtel Solvay in Brussels, a jewel of Art Nouveau listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A work by Juliette Clovis travels with the exhibition “Iris Van Herpen. Sculpting the Senses”, presented between Brisbane and Singapore, after being held at the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris in 2023 / 2024.
