A reparton is a block of raw slate that has been sawn to make roofing slate. Réparton is a light made from the end of a block during sawing. Its exceptional quality has attracted interest. Its distinctive feature is an angled edge that crosses the natural grain of the slate, giving it a very distinctive look. The slate is deeply textured, revealing the different veining of the material.
